The yearly jazz festival program becomes available in the period leading up to May. You will find it on the right hand menu.
- OperaEstate
This yearly summer cultural festival, takes place throughout July and August and includes opera, dance, music, cinema and theatre, with many open air performances at suggestive heritage venues all over the Vicenza province and the Veneto.
- Marostica Living Chess Match Reenactment
The ultimate medieval reenactment takes place the second week of September in even years. The original chess match of 1454 was devised to settle a feud between two rival families both fielding suitors for the hand of a local maiden. Provides direct online booking and information on other Marostica events.

- Asiago and the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni
Information on the mountain resort area in and around Asiago: Downhill and cross country skiing, golf, equitation and other nature-related activities and sports, and an excellent culinary tradition as testified by the famous Asiago cheese. Also the site of some of the bloodiest world war one battles with associated monuments as well as Italian, British, American and Austrian war graves.

Getting Around Vicenza
- Provincial Bus Service
Explore Vicenza province by public transport. The central bus station (known as autostazione) is located adjacent to the train station. In some cases you can even take a bike on the bus, though you should confirm this at the ticket office. The entire province is well served, including important towns such as Bassano del Grappa, Marostica and Asiago. The site is in Italian, but the orari (timetable section) is clearly understandable. Remember that feriale means weekdays and festivo refers to weekends and public holidays.
